About Pilar
Pilar has been teaching yoga for 10+ years. She brings a sense of play and discovery to her class and her students learn to recognize their movement patterns and explore their limits. She is in the process of opening her own studio in Birmingham’s Southside, yoga[lab] Birmingham. Pilar received her 200 hour certification from North Shore Yoga in Chattanooga and her 500 hour from Laughing Lotus in NYC. She is currently enrolled in continuing education in SMARTFlow with Annie Carpenter. Her style of teaching is influenced by her teachers: Jessica Jollie, Dana Flynn, Kenny Frisby, Tiffany Cruickshanks, Kathryn Budig, Mary Dana Abbott and her students (the most important ones!)

About Teresa
Teresa completed her 200 and 300 hour teacher training in FL from Kelli Precourt, at Balance Health Studio.  She completed her 1008 hours of training with Janet Stone Yoga in San Francisco, CA, and Bali Indonesia, and she believes we are “always in studentship” as she continues her training with Kelli, Janet, Nat Kendall and Lara Libowitz.  Teresa has a passion for vinyasa yoga, the philosophies of yoga and practices living the 8 limbs of yoga in her daily life. She hopes to challenge her students to be present and content with each breath and to bring to the heart the divine light and peace that resides within each of us.  In her classes, you will open your heart through meditation, your body through movement and breath and end with the opportunity for new beginnings on and off your mat.

About this training
In the spirit of exploration we will learn about the multiple aspects of yoga and integrating them into our physical practice as well as our daily lives.

Our goal is to provide each student with a foundation to lead with authenticity, confidence, compassion, and safety while honoring their individual style and voice. Whether you join us to become a teacher or simply to deepen your own practice, this training is designed to let you find your voice as a leader and teacher in your life.

Over the course of this training we will dig deeply into our individual practice, as well as how to turn this experimentation and exploration into teaching moments for ourselves and others. You will dive deeply into learning about yourself and create meaningful connections that will last a lifetime. Our program is created for both those wanting to explore yoga and its many facets and for aspiring teachers.
